WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (AP) - The public has been invited to West Liberty in eastern Iowa to a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Midwest One Fine Arts Center.

The Muscatine Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1VwzPPp ) that the ceremony will take place Sunday afternoon.

The Muscatine County Fair Board and the Muscatine County Historic Preservation Commission have been working to rehabilitate historic structures on the fairgrounds. The new center will be used to display art exhibits at the fair and at various other times throughout the year.

In July 2015, the Fair Board received a $50,000 donation from Midwest One Bank to fund the project.
