MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Sylvia Fowles had 16 points, four steals and three blocked shots, and Lindsay Whalen added 11 points and eight assists to help the Minnesota Lynx beat the Dallas Wings 80-63 on Saturday night.

Seimone Augustus scored 14 points, Maya Moore added 13 points and six assists, and Rebekkah Brunson had 10 points and eight rebounds for Minnesota (7-0).

Whalen scored or assisted on 12 points during a 16-5 run that made it 69-54 with 5:09 to play and the Lynx led by double figures the rest of the way.

Minnesota took control in the fourth quarter against Dallas (3-4). The Lynx made 12 of 17 (70.6 percent) field-goal attempts while limiting the Wings to 33 percent (6-of-18) shooting and forcing six turnovers in last 10 minutes.

Rookie Aerial Powers scored a career-high 20 points for Dallas. The Wings have lost three in a row.

SPARKS 74, STARS 61

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Candace Parker scored 15 points, Kristi Toliver made three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points and Los Angeles beat San Antonio to improve to 7-0.

The Sparks are off to their best start since opening 9-0 in 2003. The Stars (1-5) have lost two straight.

Kayla McBride and Moriah Jefferson scored four points apiece as part of an 11-2 run to pull the Stars to 47-43 with 1:36 left in the third quarter. Alana Beard and Toliver answered with back-to-back 3s and the Sparks pulled away in the fourth quarter. Beard finished with 12 points.

Jefferson led the Stars with 18 points, and McBride had 13.
