MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Three artists plan to paint a mural in Muskegon that will honor’s the city’s spring industry.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1UlkoVf ) the mural titled “Muskegon Springs Ahead,’ will be created June 6-12 on the side of the Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor’s Third Street Grille.

The spring industry for decades has been a foundation in Muskegon’s manufacturing strength. Past murals painted in 2013 and 2014 have depicted the foundry industry and the local aerospace industry.

Mural committee member Len Piasecki says the murals showcase the industrial heritage in Muskegon, builds pride in the community’s history and shows that the little town has some great stories to tell.

The mural will be dedicated on June 30.
