BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - An escape from the Mississippi County jail has been recaptured in Blytheville.

Sheriff Dale Cook told reporters that 32-year-old Wendell Shields of Blytheville was found hiding in bushes along a city street about 7:15 p.m. Saturday after police received an anonymous tip.

Cook says Shields had escaped Wednesday by climbing a fence in the exercise area of the jail.

He was being held on burglary, theft and robbery charges.
