BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - An ex-convict is heading back to prison for 12 years for at least a half-dozen robberies in less than three weeks.

Charles Henry was sentenced Friday in state Supreme Court in Buffalo, where he pleaded guilty in April.

Investigators say he robbed a gas station of $250 while wielding a hammer in January, and got away with $10,000 in a bank robbery three weeks later, claiming he had a bomb.

In between, authorities say Henry was responsible for several other robberies in Buffalo and three suburbs.

The 43-year-old Grand Island resident has been convicted of robbery twice before.
