WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Police say a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg in Wilmington.

Police said in a statement Sunday that officers were called to the area of Concord Avenue and North Washington Street for a report of a shooting on Saturday night, but they did not find a shooting victim.

Police later learned that a 26-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound to his left leg at Wilmington Hospital. They say the man arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. Police say the man is in stable condition.
