AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - A judge has denied bond for an Augusta teenager accused of shooting a woman.

Assistant District Attorney Robert Homlar tells the Augusta Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1U2uWv5 ) that 18-year-old Davante D. Parks was denied bond Friday. Homlar says Parks and 29-year-old Marion Terry went to 25-year-old Britney McKie’s home and shot her six times. Homlar says McKie identified Terry as the person who shot her. Parks gave Terry the gun.

The next day, Terry was shot to death in the same apartment complex. Homlar says Parks was present when the killing occurred and that it was in retaliation for McKie’s shooting.

Homlar says Parks is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, but the charges could be upgraded to conspiracy to commit murder.
