LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police are investigating the armed robbery and shooting of a clerk at a convenience store on the city’s east side.

Police say two male suspects armed with handguns entered the 7-Eleven in the 4100 block of East Sahara at about 2 a.m. Sunday and demanded money.

Investigators say one of the suspects shot the clerk before they fled the scene on foot.

The clerk was taken to Sunrise Hospital where he was reported in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The suspects remain at large.
