HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities have identified a man who died over the weekend after he was found trapped in a vehicle following a two-vehicle crash in southwest Ohio.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Jonathan Water of Hamilton was freed from the car late Saturday afternoon in Reily Township, about 25 miles northwest of Cincinnati.

Authorities say he was taken to a hospital in Oxford where he died.

Water was a passenger in a car driven by a 21-year-old Hamilton woman, who was airlifted to a Dayton hospital with serious injuries. Officials say her condition isn’t known, but she is expected to survive.

A 24-year-old Reily Township man who was driving the second vehicle was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
