NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say bus and rail service has been restored in a Philadelphia suburb after police shut the services down due to a suspicious package.

Norristown Police asked the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority to suspend service for the Norristown High Speed Line, the Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line, and local bus routes after an unattended package was found at the adjacent Bieber Tourways bus depot.

Transit authorities say service was restored at the Norristown Transportation Center two hours after it was shut down around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Rail and bus services were restored at 3:45 p.m.

Police say a bomb squad investigated the package and that it “ended up being nothing.”
