PAYSON, Ariz. (AP) - State transportation crews will be removing trees along a highway north of Payson to make it easier for motorists to see the roadway.

The work along 29 miles of State Route 87 begins Monday. It’s expected to be complete this fall.

The highway will be reduced to one lane Monday through Thursday during the daytime.

The state Department of Transportation says motorists should expect delays and plan extra time for travel.
