FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a 92-year-old man survived a 60-foot fall down an embankment in Northern California.

The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/1t1Af4S ) that the Madera County Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Ward says the man was hiking down a steep canyon slope in Madera County on Monday when he fell.

Ward says the man was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital with a broken arm. He says two other people were rescued but unharmed.
