CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The issue of Sunday hunting is coming before Kanawha County officials this week.

The Planning Commission is holding a public hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday to hear the views of county residents on a petition to place Sunday hunting in Kanawha County on the November ballot.

The County Commission says in a news release that Sunday hunting would be restricted to private property and would retire the landowner’s consent.

The public hearing will be held at the Kanawha County Courthouse.

Written comments can be submitted to the Kanawha County Planning Commission at P.O. Box 3227, Charleston, WV 25336, or by email to County Engineer John Luoni at [email protected]
