FORSYTH, Ga. (AP) - A Monroe County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after being struck by a car while he was assisting a motorist.

The sheriff’s office said in a news release that Cpl. Tim Campfield was pushing a vehicle out of the roadway on Interstate 75 early Sunday when a motorist hit him, with the vehicle landing on top of Campfield’s patrol car.
