LOCUST GROVE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say no one was injured after a Locust Grove police officer opened fire during a police pursuit.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a Locust Grove officer attempted to stop a vehicle Saturday night for speeding. A passenger ran away, and the driver took off in the vehicle.

The OSBI says the vehicle drove onto residential yards and started veering toward the officer, who was on foot. The officer fired his weapon several times and struck the vehicle, but authorities say the driver was not struck.

The OSBI says the driver of the vehicle was arrested Sunday at a home in Salina on a complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. The passenger in his car was not arrested.
