NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Authorities are investigating after they say a body was found inside a burning vehicle in New Orleans.

The New Orleans Fire Department tells media outlets in a news release that the body was discovered by firefighters early Sunday morning.

Officials say fire crews responded to a vehicle fire around 4:15 a.m. The inside of the vehicle, which was parked on the side of a road, was fully engulfed.

After putting out the blaze, officials say they found the body in the front passenger’s seat.

No other victims were found inside the vehicle.

Officials say the cause of the fire was found to be arson.
