FENWICK ISLAND, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have arrested a man they say used counterfeit bills at a Fenwick Island restaurant.

Troopers tell news outlets that 25-year-old Sidney Rogers III was arrested Sunday on charges including forgery, possession of counterfeit bills and theft by false pretense.

Authorities say that Rogers attempted to pay a restaurant check with seven counterfeit bills which totaled $155.

Rogers was booked at Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of a $36,000 cash bond. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.

Authorities are asking anyone with additional information about similar incidents to contact officials.
