CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Chattanooga has added Kevin Easley as an assistant coach on its men’s basketball staff.

The Mocs announced their hire of Easley on Wednesday in a school release.

Easley, a native of Trenton, Tennessee, spent the last three seasons as director of basketball operations at UNC Wilmington. He spent one season at UNC Asheville before heading to Wilmington.

He previously had worked at High Point (2009-11), UNC Greensboro (2006-09) and UT Martin (2004-06). Easley owns a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay and a master’s degree from UT Martin.

Chattanooga coach Matt McCall said in a statement that “he’s from the state of Tennessee, so he’s got an enormous amount of recruiting ties. His ability to relate to our players was a big key for me.”
