BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota attorney general’s office is suing a Bismarck contractor for violations of the state’s consumer fraud law.

Authorities say Steven Kapfer’s company, Rebuilding Dreams, failed to complete contracting work for which he was paid. He allegedly received $18,000 in advance payments from 10 homeowners who hired him between July 2013 and May 2015 to complete small home repair and remodeling projects.

The suit calls for Kapfer to pay back the money to the homeowners and pay costs of the investigation.

Kapfer did not return a phone message seeking comment.
