ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A Minnesota circus featuring kids as performers will celebrate Alice in Wonderland as its summer production.

Circus Juventas (joo-VEHN’-tas) will stage “Wonderland” under its big top in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul. The show runs from July 28 through Aug. 14.

The circus is marking the 150th year of Lewis Carroll’s classic “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” Published in 1865, the book tells the story of young Alice who falls down a rabbit hole and encounters strange creatures such as the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Queen of Hearts.

Tickets go on sale June 27 and are available through Ticketworks by phone or online at ticketworks.com or by calling the Circus Juventas Box Office.

The youth circus program is celebrating its 22nd year.
