PEARL, Miss. (AP) - Rankin County authorities are searching for two suspects involved in an incident Wednesday on Interstate 20 where one man was shot.

WLBT-TV (https://bit.ly/1UgCj3m ) reports that Rankin County Undersheriff Raymond Duke said the unidentified motorist was shot in the head, above the eye. His condition was not immediately available, but Duke said he was able to give investigators information.

Pearl Police Capt. Brian McGairty said they’re looking for a gold or metallic 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with license plate number PU2743 - a Pearl River County tag. McGairty said the truck is occupied by 29-year-old Brett Davis of Picayune and another man, who are considered armed and dangerous. Pearl police have issued a warrant for Davis for attempted murder

The incident apparently began in the eastbound lane of I-20 at the Airport Road Exit in Pearl about 4:30 p.m.

The shooting, “is a case of road rage gone really bad,” Duke said.

This story has been corrected to remove the reference to the truck entering Louisiana, because police now say that was a different truck.
