NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A chain-reaction crash involving two police cruisers in North Myrtle Beach has sent three police officers and a woman to a hospital for treatment.

North Myrtle Beach spokesman Pat Dowling tells local media outlets that the accident happened Wednesday on U.S. 17 when a woman driving a Cadillac hit the rear of one of the cruisers sending it into the back of the second cruiser.

Two officers were treated and released from the hospital. Dowling said he didn’t know the condition of the woman and the third officer.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
