DENVER (AP) - A 32-year-old man arrested in a triple slaying during what investigators say was a drug deal gone wrong was a University of Colorado football player.

Chadd Evans was arrested at a home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday and is being held for investigation of felony murder, attempted murder and robbery. Two men were found shot to death in a northeast Denver home on Friday, and a third man who was shot died at a hospital.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/3jzDpt ) Evans, who played high school football in Tulsa, spent one year on the CU roster as a defensive end. He transferred in 2004 to the University of Tulsa but played there only in the 2005 season.

Evans also is facing multiple felony charges in Oklahoma. Booking documents do not indicate if he has hired an attorney.
