WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged a man in several commercial robberies in the Wilmington area over the past two months.

Troopers said in a news release that 54-year-old Thomas Norris of Smyrna was arrested Wednesday as he was leaving a software development company’s office in New Castle with a laptop officer say he stole.

Norris is charged with numerous counts of burglary and other offenses.

Police say Norris went into unsecured office buildings and forced his way into separate businesses inside. Investigators say he would steal electronic items from the businesses, which included medical and legal offices.
