ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with the shooting death of a man last year.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell told local media outlets that his office has charged 18-year-old Curtis Green in the death of 35-year-old Trejan Jenkins.

Deputies say Jenkins was found shot to death March 20, 2015.

Witnesses said they heard an argument before they heard the gunshot that killed Jenkins. Investigators think the argument was about the thefts of several vehicles at the apartment complex.

Green was being held at the South Carolina Department of Corrections on unrelated for grand larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle charges.

It was not clear if Green has an attorney on the new charges.
