DENVER (AP) - A man has been found guilty of murder in the shooting death of a man at his Arvada home last year.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/219pPLJ ) that 54-year-old Billy Edward Scott was convicted of first-degree murder and other charges Tuesday for the March 2015 death of 44-year-old Troy Pitman.

Prosecutors say Scott had gotten into an argument with Pitman over a bond the victim had co-signed. Scott had gone to Pitman’s home with his girlfriend and licensed bail bond agent, Leslie Barrett, to discuss the matter.

Barrett allegedly pulled out a gun during the incident and Scott is accused of pulling the trigger. Pitman died from one gunshot wound to the back.

Barrett has pleaded guilty to accessory to murder and menacing. She will be sentenced next week.
