HAINES CITY, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a central Florida teen is facing felony charges after bringing a gun to his middle school.

The Lakeland Ledger (https://goo.gl/8s2A88) reports that the 15-year-old boy was charged Wednesday with possession of a firearm on school property and carrying a concealed weapon.

Haines City Assistant Police Chief Brian McNulty says officers arrested the Boone Middle School eighth-grader that morning after finding a loaded .380-caliber firearm in his bag. School administrators had received a call about a student with a weapon on campus.
