TREVOR, Wis. (AP) - Officials say a massive warehouse that housed multiple businesses in Kenosha County is a total loss after fire swept through the building.

A number of fire departments battled the blaze into the evening Wednesday in Trevor. Businesses in the warehouse included an auto body shop, storage facility and transmission repair service.

The Kenosha News (https://bit.ly/1PiC826 ) says heavy black smoke blanketed the area, slowing traffic on nearby roads to a crawl. A half-dozen trucks brought water to the fire because of the lack of hydrants in the area.

An investigation is underway on the cause of the fire.
