LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval plans to support whoever is the Republican nominee for president.

The governor’s office issued a brief statement Monday as The Associated Press surveyed Republican elected officials on whether they would vote for Donald Trump if he wins the nomination.

Some Republicans have they would support a third-party bid over backing the polarizing businessman.

Senate candidate and Republican Rep. Joe Heck says he’ll also support the eventual nominee, but is focusing on his own race and a message of freedom and equality for all regardless of who wins the nomination.

Republican Sen. Dean Heller said in December that he’d support the party’s nominee, but predicted at the time that it wouldn’t be Trump.

Sandoval caucused for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio last week but hasn’t formally endorsed anyone.
