CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) - A Maryland trooper is suspended after he was arrested on a domestic assault charge.

State police say Trooper Kenneth Moore is suspended with pay after Cambridge police charged him Saturday with one count of second-degree assault.

Cambridge police notified state police that they had responded to a complaint of an assault from Moore’s wife.

The state police internal affairs unit initiated an administrative investigation, while Cambridge police are conducting the criminal investigation.

It’s unclear if Moore has an attorney.
