SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A 41-year-old Sheridan resident has died in a snowmobiling accident in the Bighorn National Forest in northern Wyoming.

The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office says Kristin Kraft died after falling off a snowmobile near Burgess Junction at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Kraft was a passenger on the snowmobile.

Sheridan Deputy County Coroner Kevin Sessions said Kraft died from a fractured neck. The driver, whose name has not been released, was not hurt.

The Sheridan Press reports (https://bit.ly/1TPnTI1 ) that it marks the second snowmobiling-related death in the Bighorn National Forest in February. The first occurred when a snowmobiler was thrown from his machine by an avalanche.
