PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - Investigators believe a 31-year-old woman fatally stabbed her father before dying of a possible drug overdose in Pontiac.

Their bodies were discovered Wednesday after 57-year-old Walter Heil failed to report to work. It was the second check at the Pontiac home by Oakland County sheriff’s deputies.

The sheriff’s office says Heil’s wife answered the door earlier Wednesday and said everything was fine. Due to physical limits, she apparently didn’t know what had happened during the first visit by deputies.

She subsequently told investigators that her husband and daughter had a physical altercation. The daughter was identified as Katty Ann Heil.
