PHOENIX (AP) - Gasoline prices around Arizona are up slightly at the pumps this week, but still among the nation’s lowest.

Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $1.60 a gallon - an increase of more than 5 cents from last week.

This week’s national average is $1.84 per gallon, up by 4 cents from last week.

Triple-A analysts say the jump is due to the rising price of crude oil and refineries undergoing seasonal maintenance or cutting production because of abundant supplies.

Tucson currently has Arizona’s lowest average gasoline price at $1.37 a gallon and Flagstaff the highest at $1.83.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas price among states in the continental U.S. at $1.59 a gallon with California the highest at $2.48.
