GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Two men have died in a single-vehicle wreck in Greenville.

The Greenville County coroner’s office told local media outlets the wreck happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday when a vehicle ran off a road, hit a raised median and then hit a utility pole.

Coroner Parks Evans said the victims were 28-year-old Marquise Antrelous Smith and 28-year-old Anthony Tamone Jones, both of Greenville.

Police spokesman Gilberto Franco said Smith was driving the vehicle as he tried to get onto a ramp leading to Interstate 85.

Both men died from wreck injuries during surgery at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Franco says the wreck is still under investigation.
