DETROIT (AP) - Two men and a woman have been charged in the robbery and beating death of a 59-year-old Detroit firefighter in his west side home.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office charged 32-year-old Timmy Soto, 33-year-old Nicole Oneill and 19-year-old Christian Rasnick with murder, armed robbery, larceny and arson. They were arraigned Friday and ordered held without bond.

David Madrigal’s body was found Dec. 21 by his son after the firefighter failed to return telephone calls. The house had been ransacked.

Authorities say Madrigal was slain two days earlier. His SUV also was stolen and left burning in an alley.

Madrigal was a 26-year fire department veteran. A union official has said he planned to retire sometime this year.

A March 30 preliminary examination has been scheduled for Soto, Oneill and Rasnick.
