GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - A company that makes racks and other products for shipping auto parts is setting up shop in Gaffney, creating 70 new jobs.

Essex Weld Solutions announced Thursday that it is investing almost $3 million in the new operation in Cherokee County.

The company is moving into an existing warehouse where it will use robotic equipment to weld racks and other shipping containers for auto parts.

The company is already hiring for the new positions.
