GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) - Police say there’s now a third suspect who allegedly gave prescription pills to a dozen students at a Goodyear school last week.

Goodyear police say they’ll be submitting charges to a juvenile court on the 13-year-old girl along with the original suspects, who are two teenage boys.

Seven students at the Centerra Mirage School were sickened after taking the pills March 1 and six needed hospital treatment. The students were between the ages of 12-15.

Police say it’s believed that the suspects distributed their own prescription medication to students at the school. The drugs still are undergoing lab analysis.

Police say the suspects could be facing felony charges of possession of drugs in a drug-free zone and transfer of prescription-only drugs plus a misdemeanor charge of possession of prescription drugs.
