SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) - The government is seeking input on an environmental restoration plan focused on the site of a former Saginaw golf course.

The Saginaw News reports (https://bit.ly/1nCzQmv ) the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge plan focuses on Green Point Environmental Learning Center and the former Germania Town & Country Club golf course, located near Saginaw’s southwestern edge.

Options range from taking no action to conducting comprehensive ecological restoration.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans a meeting from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday to gather public comment and provide a chance for area residents to review the options. It’s scheduled to take place at Green Point Environmental Learning Center in Saginaw.

The Germania club closed in 2010 and the former golf course was donated to the refuge by The Nature Conservancy.
