MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Prosecutors say a man has been indicted in the shooting of a Memphis police officer who survived his wounds.

The Shelby County district attorney’s office said Friday that 30-year-old Daniel Jefferson has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of Organized Crime Unit Officer Robert Armor on April 2, 2015.

Investigators say Jefferson shot Armor in the leg during a traffic stop. Armor was critically wounded but survived. Jefferson was arrested at his home.

Jefferson also faces charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, employment of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

He is being held on $2 million bond.

Online court records do not show if Jefferson has an attorney.
