NEW FREEPORT, Pa. (AP) - State police are investigating the death of a man found badly burned in a house fire in southwestern Pennsylvania.

The still-unidentified victim was found early Thursday in Springhill Township. That’s in the corner of the state, bordering West Virginia on two sides, about 70 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.

The victim still hasn’t been identified, but police were hoping the autopsy would aid in that, too.
