VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) - Two North Dakotans were inducted into the state’s Agriculture Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Jerry Effertz of Velva and Ambrose Hoff of Richardton were honored with plaques presented by Gov. Jack Dalyrmple at the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City.

Dalrymple says both are deserving of recognition for the significant contributions they have made to North Dakota’s agriculture industry.

Effertz ranches and also runs Effertz Black Butte Acres and Adventures, an agriculture and nature tourism operation.

Hoff farms and ranches and runs a grain bin business. He also was instrumental in the building of the Red Trail Energy ethanol plant at Richardton.
