BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Miss Basketball Sara Jacobson scored 31 points Saturday as Fargo Shanley survived a scare to beat Bismarck Century 73-66 in overtime for its third straight state Class A girls basketball championship.

The Deacons (27-0) scored the last seven points of overtime to extend their winning streak to 70 games. Jacobson was 8-for-19 from the field and made 12 of 18 free throws. She added eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

Lauren Rotunda added 20 points and Emily Dietz 12.

Century got 14 points from Kourtney Selensky, 13 from Lexi Brown and 12 from Regan Dennis.

The game went back and forth down the stretch. Century (25-2) took a 62-61 lead on a Holtz 3-pointer with 1:46 left.



The Patriots led 64-63 before Jacobson tied it with a free throw with 11 seconds left. It was tied for the last time 66-66. Jacobson then scored five straight points for the Deacons.
