OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) - A man is dead after he was struck by a freight train in Oshkosh.

Police say the Canadian National train was headed north into the city when it struck the 20-year-old Oshkosh man early Saturday.

WLUK-TV (https://bit.ly/1pfmbD0 ) reports the collision did not happen at an intersection with a road or at a pedestrian crossing.

Police don’t know why the man was on the tracks. His name has not been released.
