LAS VEGAS (AP) - A pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run in Las Vegas has been identified.

The Las Vegas Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1pfRbCW) the Clark County Coroner’s office says 54-year-old Edward Lantuono died Friday when he was struck in the area of Blue Diamond and Cimarron roads.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says Lantuono was walking outside of a crosswalk around 1:40 a.m. when he was struck.

He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

The NHP says it is searching for a silver Chrysler 300 or Nissan sedan that would have heavy damage to its front and a broken tail light.
