BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) - Both supporters and protesters are preparing to greet Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump when he visits Bloomington in central Illinois Sunday.

The Trump campaign says the billionaire businessman will hold a 10 a.m. campaign rally at the Synergy Flight Center at Central Illinois Regional Airport. Trump is on the ballot in Illinois’ primary election on Tuesday.

The (Bloomington) Pantagraph (https://bit.ly/1WhN1oN ) reports that local officials were planning for the visit. Extra police will be on hand.

A Trump rally in Chicago was canceled Friday because of what the Trump campaign called “security concerns” after a large number of protesters entered the auditorium where he had planned to speak.

Local activist Sonny Garcia of the “Dump Trump” campaign was appealing to both supporters and protesters to interact peacefully in Bloomington.
