BLYTHE, Calif. (AP) - Riverside County authorities say alcohol was likely a factor in a boat crash on the Colorado River that left 13 people injured, two of them critically.

KCBS-TV reports (https://cbsloc.al/1QPRHlP) all the victims were aboard the boat that crashed onto rocks near Blythe Saturday afternoon.

County fire spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman says the two most seriously injured victims were airlifted from the scene.

Ground ambulances took 11 others to hospitals. Four of them sustained moderate injuries and seven had minor injuries.

Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Vasquez says investigators believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
