WANTAGH, N.Y. (AP) - Nassau County Police on Long Island say a 60-year-old driver was killed in a vehicle accident in Wantagh.

Police say Preston Stockman, of Wantagh, was traveling east on Jerusalem Avenue just before 9 a.m. Sunday when for an unknown reason the car swerved into the westbound lane striking a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old woman.

Stockman was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The other driver was treated for minor injuries.
