MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say two people were stabbed with a barbecue grilling fork after an argument.

Myrtle Beach police tell local media outlets they responded to a stabbing call at just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Two people told police one of them was trying to calm a man down after a fight when he bit the other on the face.

They say the man then grabbed a large barbecue grilling fork. A prong went all the way through a woman’s hand. The other person was stabbed in the neck.

Police say they arrested a man and took him to jail, awaiting warrants. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
