BLYTHE, Calif. (AP) - Riverside County authorities say alcohol was likely a factor in a boat crash on the Colorado River that left 13 people injured, three of them critically.

The Press-Enterprise newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1nIAEpT) all the victims were aboard the boat that crashed onto rocks near Blythe Saturday afternoon.

The newspaper says the three most seriously injured victims were airlifted from the scene.

Ground ambulances took six others to hospitals. Four people with minor injuries refused treatment.

Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Vasquez says investigators believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
