CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago officials say they will announce what they learned in reviewing a proposed walking path in and around Little Village.

The Department of Transportation will hold a community meeting Wednesday to discuss the Little Village Paseo.

The paseo, or public path, is a 1.3-mile multi-use area from 26th and Rockwell streets to 32nd Street and Central Park Avenue.

It would replace an unused rail line in Little Village and provide open space and ways to connect to community services.

Officials will be seeking feedback from taxpayers about the proposal.

The community meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kanoon Magnet Elementary School.
